How Information Is Used

Visitor Tracking
The site foundation records IP address, browser user agent, referrer, requested path, request method, a rough operating-system category, a rough device category, and visit timestamps in local SQLite files. This supports basic traffic measurement and security review. A retention period must be approved before public launch.
User Accounts
Accounts are invitation-only. The system stores username, optional email address, password hash, role, status, creation time, last login time, and limited login-attempt records. Passwords are not stored in plain text.
Daily Quizzes
Quiz answers store the question date, selected answer, score, and submission time. Guest participation uses a random identifier in the required PHP session; no name or email is needed. Guest answers are retained for up to 90 days, with expired entries removed when a new daily question is selected. Logging in during the same session attaches that day’s guest answer to your account. Member answers are kept as quiz history. Administrators can review aggregate participation. Signed-in members see aggregate results after answering. Members you share a challenge link with can compare their result with yours after answering; your email and username are not included in that comparison. Contact us to request removal of your quiz records.
Cookies and Analytics
The site uses a required PHP session cookie when session-based features are used and stores cookie-consent choices. Google Analytics is installed but disabled until a real measurement ID and owner approval are provided.
Sharing Information
Information is processed by the website hosting environment. Analytics, payment, and outbound email integrations are currently disabled. Additional providers must be documented here before they are enabled.
Retention
Retention schedules for visitor records, account records, and contact messages remain a launch configuration item. Records should not be retained longer than needed for their stated purpose.
Security
Describe reasonable steps used to protect information, such as HTTPS, password hashing, restricted admin access, and protected database files. Do not promise perfect security.
Children
The site is intended for a general audience and is not designed to knowingly collect information from children. Owner review is required before launch.
Regional Rights and Choices
Applicable privacy rights depend on the visitor's and owner's locations. Requests may be submitted through the Contact page and will be reviewed under applicable requirements.
