2025 Spring Seed Starting Day - Lot's of Changes This Year

It is that time of year once again to start your seeds for your 2025 Spring and Summer garden. I continue to learn and I have decided to make quite a few changes this year. I am moving around where I grow different vegetables, will grow a few more of some, and less of others. Here are my plans.....

Tomatoes

Last year I mixed up the labels on my seedlings, so I wasn't exactly sure what I was planting - arggg! I also did not trim my tomatoes enough, so they really grew into each other too much. I also didn't have an Cherry Tomato started so I didn't harvest until July with the rest of them.

Bell Peppers

I did not start enough seeds, so the late Bell Peppers really didn't produce much. This year plant seeds early (I am just in time right now) and plant plenty of extras. I am also going to grow more Bell Peppers this year, moving my cucumbers to another location.

Zucchini and Yellow Squash

Last year went perfect. I will hit the repeat button.

Basil

My Basil went well last year. I will plant more in my garden beds, and also arround my trees so they can just flower for the bees.

Bush Beans

I didn't grow enough of them. Grow more this year!

Onions

I bought starter sets of onions and they worked out well. I will try to find them again this year at Lowes or Home Depot.

Okra

I don't think I will grow Okra ever again. Long small harvest.

Celery

I don't think I will grow Celery ever again. It was too pungent.
