Description: Although a lot of folks were bummed about the soggy weather for the beginning of their Labor Day weekend, the rain didn't keep everyone away. There weren't many boats on Laurel Lake Saturday, but for those few who did get out, it proved to be a beautiful experience. Campers at Holly Bay Campground gathered at the Campfire Circle to get up-close and personal with Chris Carpenter's Reptiles & Amphibians. A huge THANK YOU to Chris and his critters for taking a chance with the rainy weather! They drew quite an inquisitive crowd.

Description: Seriously, it seems like this forest should be named after a Native American. Anyway, this beautiful, natural formation is in Natural Bridge State Resort Park in eastern Kentucky. I shot the photo in March 2010.
