As I am putting away all our Christmas Stuff, I have been reflecting on the last two weeks, the last year, and this new year to come. This last year, 2023 was a good year, and I expect 2024 to have some life changes as well - mostly good, but changes nonetheless.

I Got Robbed

My Christmas Vacation was stolen from me. On Monday, December 25, 2023, my wife tested positive for Covid19. Two days later, I tested positive for Covid19. We had a mild case (pretty much just a Cold With A Name), but we still were feeling pretty crappy for a week. That just happened to be the week we were off work, so we accomplished very little of what we were hoping to do this year. We were going to get home projects done, and go play a bit around our fabulous Southern California area. Instead, we slept a lot and stayed home for the most part. Now for the putting Christmas Away.....

Our System

To prevent things from getting out of hand, we limit our entire Christmas Decorations to fit into 8 of these containers, which we have space for in the rafters in our garage. If it can't fit in our containers, it is time to get rid of something. That has worked for over 20 years now, so I think that is an effective way to prevent ourselves from just accumulating more junk - I mean beautiful Christmas Decorations, that is.
