When we went to one of our weekend gettaways at the WordMark Indio, they had a great flowerbed of Petunias. I tried to copy what they did - here is how it worked out:

October 21, 2023 Seeds Were Started

I started the seeds and in my usual seed starting mix and a week later they had germinated. I seperated them into individual cells and let them grow in my garage nursery.

December 30, 2022

By late December the Petunias were doing well and were ready to hit the garden.

I Started Some Hanging Baskets This Year

I put in a mix of different flowers, mostly from seeds that I started, but a few six packs from the store as well. I love growing Petunias, Pansy, California Poppy, and Violas.

This is My Signature Garden Bed

I look at this Garden Bed all the time as it is right outside my kitchen window.

Flowers are starting to come out in the hanging baskets.

I was so happy with how my Signature Garden turned out. The contrast between the Petunias, and the Poppies, and Geraniums was so striking, I loved it!

Then Things Got Out Of Control!

On June 17, 2023 the Petunias had run their course, and we were ready to take them out and start our summer flower bed.
