Here is my Review of the WorldMark Palm Springs - Plaza Resort and Spa. There is some Good, and Some Bad, here are my thoughts

We stayed at the WorldMark Plaza Resort and Spa for the first time on September 17, 2023. This location is about 5 miles from downtown Palm Springs. It is an affiliate of WorldMark, so if you are familiar with WorldMark properties, this one is a bit different.

The property is somewhat outdated, as the inside of the rooms had seen their better days quite some time ago, but if you take into account the low cost to stay at this location, it actually fits into the category you get what you pay for. After our initial shock of “This isn’t quite as nice as I was hoping for…” we settled in and were quite happy with the place.

Here are some of my thoughts.

Location, Location, Location!

The location is pretty good. It is not downtown Palm Sprins, so if that is what you are looking for, there are other Worldmark locations that are right next to downtown. It isn't far though, being only 5 miles from downtown, so it is a nice drive that will take you about 15 minutes to get there.

Pool Area, Spa and Barbeques

There are two pools, a common barbeque area with four nice barbeques, and two spas. The spa near the pool is most popular as it is by the seating area and right next to the pool. There is also one in the opposite end, which was less heavily used that actually was right next to our unit #108. On Sunday I don't think anyone besides us even used that spa which was quite nice knowing that it was probably the cleanest spa I used at a Worldmark.

Some Updates

Thank goodness we are out of the 70s..... The bed was pretty good - not as good as most WorldMarks, but at least the linens were clean and updated.

Pretty Clean

Overall the place was clean and didn’t have many structural issues that you find with older buildings. The carpets we pretty old – so there was no getting around that.

Tennis Court

The tennis court was pretty nice. There was only one, but no one was using it while we were there, though the temperatures were pretty warm in the high 90s.

FREE EV CHARGING

My Favorite part about this place is that they had a free EV Charger. After waiting for two cars that were using the charger all Saturday and early Sunday, the charger opened up for me all of Sunday and no one else used it Sunday night or Monday morning. I was able to charge my Tesla from 20% up to 95% in about five and a half hours, and was ready to drive my free 100 miles in the morning on Monday.

Good Room Layout

The layout we had in our one bedroom unit was good. I think it is worth getting the 1-bedroom over the studio.

The Quiet Pool

The second pool is at the end of the complex and is next to one of the fairways on the golf course. This was closed for some construction on it being done while we were there, but I can see that it probably would be a nice place to sit out and hang out by the pool watching the golfers go by.

Fine Dining

And of course you can grill some T-Bones and have your $200 dinner for two right in the pleasure of your unit. This is our go-to meal when we do these weekend trips.
