The Alpine Lakes Wilderness is a stunning area located in the Cascade Range of Washington State. Spanning over 394,000 acres, this wilderness area is home to rugged mountains, pristine alpine lakes, and lush forests. One of the most prominent features of the Alpine Lakes Wilderness is its namesake lakes. These glacial-fed lakes are known for their crystal-clear waters, which reflect the surrounding peaks and create a picturesque setting. Some of the most popular lakes in the area include Snow Lake, Colchuck Lake, and Lake Ingalls. The wilderness area is also home to numerous peaks, including Mount Stuart, the second-highest non-volcanic peak in Washington.
