I have always wondered about this concept. Here is a quote from the discussion: "By focusing teenagers attention on mental health issues these interventions may have unwittingly exacerbated their problems." I think this not only is true for anxiety and depression, but also applies to alternative lifestyles, and to many mental health issues as well.
